Baskin Birthday Club
A powerful network of interconnected birthday boys and girls. Members interact with the Birthday Club via an interface or 'dashboard' which places people, tools and memories literally at their fingertips.
The modern-day Baskin-Robbins Birthday Club (2.0) evolved from the original and very popular club of the same name, started in the early 60s. Baskin-Robbins took the concept of 'a guaranteed free ice cream on your birthday' (an advertising sell point that still pulls like gangbusters), and blew the doors right off it to create what you see today.
The birthday club has a non-exclusionary policy - anyone who has been born, or is about to be born can join.
Many widgets form the backbone the birthday network. These widgets allow the birthday loving majority to:
- Set up alerts so they never forget anyone's birthday, regardless as to whether they like the person or not
- Add multiple family members to their network in one hit
- Never miss a new flavor, thanks to alerts
- Enjoy a freebie ice cream every time they trip over into a new year of life
- Plan parties
- Set up wishlists, and see the wishlists of others so they can buy that lava lamp when the time is right
- Save key memories digitally in a virtual time capsule
- Share birthday memories with others via the iconic symbol of the pink spoon.
